Goddess of the Night by Leanne Dyck

Something--an instinct--nudged me awake. Pushing back the covers, I crawled out of bed. There, on the floor, I saw a patch of silver light. I walked over to the window and peered out--searching for her.
Where is she?

Frantically, I travelled from window to window. Finally, I found her.

She was full, round, beautiful--a goddess riding the black sea. She beckoned to me and I couldn't resist. I ran outside.

Though it was a cool night I barely noticed. She cloaked me in her glow and I felt such joy. My hips began to sway and I danced in the moonlight.
