Coombs Bluegrass Festival

Come with me to the 33rd Coombs Bluegrass festival.

My husband is busy setting up camp -- while I run crazy with the camera.

He's such a tolerate man.

Please take a sit in our living room. We just bought -- at a mall, on your way to Coombs. It's so easy to set up -- you just have to stand back and it does all the rest. In fact, you know, I set it up. Hurray me. : )

After a nice chin wag, we make our way to the stage on the Coombs rodeo grounds. The music has already started but don't worry -- we're not late. The music will go strong all weekend.

The featured bands are...

Mark Phillips & 3rd Generation -- Norman, Oklahoma

Mark Phillips rhythm guitar and vocals, Roger Starnes banjo, Kendall Murphy bass, Daniel Foulkes fiddle, Michael Morrison flatpicking guitar, Bridget Starnes sales manager.

The sound man surveys from his booth.

This couple were the first to dance, but they weren't the last.

Friday night ends with a sweet, lonesome sound.

It's Saturday and The Sweet Lowdown is on stage.

After two days of music, everyone wants to dance. En mass the whole audience does just that as Mark Phillips & 3rd Generation play. Eager to please they play way past their 45 minute set. In fact, they keep playing until the police show up. Ooops...

There was good food and shopping. The Body Tree booth offered beautiful dresses, pants, tops and more.

Oh, yes, I did find something.

How did you know?

You can find something too.

The Body Shop will be at the Coombs Fair.

: ) Thank you for joining me, Laurie. Yes, it truly is love and it was so affordable twenty-five dollars (Canadian). I love it when I go shopping and find a deal like that.
